Earlier in the term 4, six wonderful artists in Year 6 worked together after school to create a ‘Coronation Bench’ design to be entered into an art competition run by The Tower of London.
Well done Alfie, Melita, Stella, Poppy Mae, Finley and Lily! From more than 1,500 bench designs, our students’ was selected as one of the 50 shortlisted entries. Unfortunately, it was not selected as one of the fifteen to be painted and displayed at The Tower of London. However, being selected as one of the 50 runner up designs from so many entries is a massive achievement and the six students involved should be really proud!
As runners up, their design will feature in The Tower of London's online gallery and will also be featured on their bunting! We look forward to receiving our own set to display at school in time for the coronation.
