Welcome
It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as the headteacher of Bridge & Patrixbourne Church of England Primary School and I hope that this website gives you some insight into everyday life at our fantastic school. However, no website can truly capture the ethos and atmosphere of the school and I warmly welcome you to visit the school in person.
As a parent myself, I want the best for my child and therefore have the same expectations for every child at Bridge School. I joined the school in 2018 and my vision for the school and its children is based on three key educational principles - creativity, excellence and resilience. As you walk around the school, you will see these principles in action through our curriculum, displayed in the environment and in the interactions between all members of our community.
We are a Church of England school and have strong links with the Bridge Group Parish. Our school vision is underpinned by our distinct Christian ethos and this is enacted through our Christian Values. We also encourage the children to act as 'courageous advocates' for change: the school supports local, national and international charities; the children learn about climate change through the curriculum and we are committed to teaching the children to challenge racist and discriminatory views.
Whilst offering a broad and balanced curriculum, the school has strengths in academic attainment and its commitment to the creative arts is obvious to all who enter the building. We are fortunate to have such talented and hardworking members of staff who provide an outstanding quality of care and encourage all our children to enjoy learning, take risks, learn new skills and aspire to reach their potential. As a school, we pride ourselves on a curriculum that engages all learners and provides them with a foundation on which to increase their depth of learning, along with a wide range of opportunities. Our teaching team is supported by specialist teachers in art, music, dance, tennis and forest school.
Do come and visit us at Bridge & Patrixbourne CEP School – we would love the chance to show our school to you.
