As part of the Canterbury Festival, Bridge and Patrixbourne CEP have been invited by Mark Saich to contribute to his Artists’ Open House event in October. We are very privileged to be working with Canterbury College's, Level 3, Year 2 Art and Design students to create 3D installations that will be part of the woodland trail.

Last week, fifteen keen artists from Year 5 and 6 attended the first of two workshops at Canterbury College. We visited the college’s fantastic print room and were led by Sarah Knowler (Lecturer in Art & Design and Graphics). Working one to one with the Level 3 students, Bridge children printed from leaves and created woodland themed polystyrene relief prints. They also had the opportunity to use the large printing press (see photographs). The prints will be made into lanterns which will adorn the trees along the woodland trail. Thank you to Sarah and the students, we had a fantastic morning!

Next week, we will be working with Luke Godfrey in the 3D studio. We can’t wait!

The Artists' Open House and woodland trail will be at Woodland Farm, Walderchain, Denton, CT4 6NS (near Barham) and open on the following weekends:

19th / 20th October
26th / 27th October

We would love for you to come along and support us.
