A massive thank you to Kasana (Felix’s dad) for coming into school last week and running a Graphics Workshop for our Year one students. Kasana is a Graphic Designer and works on campaigns and projects by well-known brands.
He began the morning by explaining to the children what a Graphic Designer is and how you may become one. Yes, you can make a career from The Arts, and here at Bridge we aim to highlight this and nurture our children’s passions and talents!
Kasana explained the brief:
- Choose a colour palette
- Think about Typeface
- Design a superhero character
- Name your cereal
- Draw your design onto a template and construct the cereal box
The children used their imaginations and designed some wonderful cereal boxes. We are hoping to have them on display soon! Or maybe you’ll see them on the shelves of Waitrose first! Who knows?
We welcome Arts professionals in regularly; if you have a skill that you’d like to share, then please do reach out to the school. Thank you Kasana; Year one really enjoyed their morning.
