This term in History, Beech Class has been learning about the history of Bridge School from when the school opened. We were very lucky to have visits from Mr Fawke, Miss Allison and Miss Andrews who told us about when they came to the school as pupils. We were very excited to find out that when the school first opened there was a swimming pool and a big climbing frame. Mrs Smith also came to talk to about how the school has changed since she started working here, we were surprised to learn that there used to be a basketball court. We were also lucky to be joined by the old Bridge School mascot Bridget the Bear although sadly she had lost her old green school jumper. We finished our topic by creating models, powerpoints, posters, books and a song to share all the information we had learnt. Once these had been created we invited some of our guests back as well as Mr Tibbles to visit the Beech Class Museum where we were very excited to share all our knowledge.
