In November, the children of Bridge & Patrixbourne CEP School were invited to enter the first school 500 Words House Competition - which was run in conjunction with the BBC 500 Words Story competition.

 

The competition was to write an original story in 500 words or less, with Year 1 – 3 competing in one age group and year 4 – 6 in another. The school judges were delighted to receive over 60 fantastic, creative entries and found the challenge of choosing the winners incredibly difficult.

 

The flip book below includes the 13 winning stories from the different houses which were all submitted into the national BBC 500 Words Competition. The wonderful front cover was designed by Sophia in year 6.
