Over the last few weeks,Year 3 have been reading the book The Tunnel. We used this as a stimulus in our art lessons. The children began by thinking of their own story. They first had to decide what creature would be in their story, what the creature would go through in order to get to another world and where that other world might be. The children used blob painting and blowing to create their 4-piece scene. Next, they used crayons and pastels to add the extra details. Finally, (the best bit!) they used clay to make their creature. Yesterday, we spent all morning designing and making our creatures. The children thoroughly enjoyed using the clay and the tools before adding some extra bits and bibs to finish off. Have a browse through the photos to see all the amazing and unique creatures that we made.
