The sun was shining for us again and we had a very exciting week of Valentine's activities and cooking in Forest School.
The children helped to make a fire, they prepared apples, oranges, they added apple juice, cinnamon sticks and star anise to make mulled apple juice.
The brand new popcorn pan came out too. We added some oil, popcorn kernels and then waited patiently until they turned to delicious popcorn. The excitement was probably heard all the way into the school building!
We spoke about Valentine's day and the children made some hearts from clay and added natural materials. There was a challenge to make sticks into heart shapes and we looked at mirrors to reflect on ourselves and our surroundings.
What a fantastic session before half term.
