This week, within his music lesson, Mr Miles worked with 3HA and explored music inspired by the symbolism and storytelling of traditional aboriginal painting. These ideas will help the pupils when creating their graphic scores next week in art.

Meanwhile, I worked with 3SA to compose their graphic scores. Graphic notation (or graphic score) is the representation of music using visual symbols. Pupils composed a piece of music using colour, shapes, and line. 3SA will perform their compositions next week with Mr Miles.

We are also collaborating with CoMA in Manchester (Contemporary Music for All) who will be choosing some of the children’s compositions to interpret themselves. Thank you, CoMA, we are looking forward to hearing them!
