On Friday 19th May we welcomed volunteers from Pfizer into school to hold six different workshops for the children as part of our science day.  Each class had the opportunity to take part in two hands-on science activities. The activities were exploring bubbles, flame test, exploring the build of static electricity, creating foam toothpaste and a demonstration showing an exothermic reaction to produce hydrogen gas. The children had a great day and there were lots of smiling, happy faces as they left each workshop with the children talking excitedly about what they had learnt as they had left each workshop. Hopefully the day has encouraged some of the children to be scientists in the future! Please see below for some photos taken during the workshops.
