This term Year 3 learned about rivers and rocks - which we built on in Forest School. The children let water flow down the mound although it was difficult to follow the flow of the water. They ended up taking  the long gutter for support and making use of the new water butts. The children found rocks, added them to the rock museum and tried to identify them.

Some children played together, creating an outdoor village, worm city and a river, that would not normally mix together very much and the team effort was fantastic.

I saw some blue tits checking out our new bird house, fingers crossed they are moving in. We looked at worms and made a wormery, finding out what they eat. We practised our call and response, ready for our woodland trip the following week and for everyone to stay safe.
