This term, Year 6 have created relief prints inspired by their ‘human figure in motion’ sculptures. The prints have been made using three printing plates. The backgrounds are collagraph (collage) prints made from fabric attached to a cardboard base with PVA glue and printed using a printing press. The foreground shapes are hand printed from two cardboard printing plates (cardboard shapes). The figures are printed in black and the second shape is printed in a contrasting colour (to stand out).

This project is incredibly hard with several complicated steps. Year 6 have worked very hard and the prints look great! Please view our gallery below:
