At the end of Term 6, our school was awarded the Green Flag. Our current Year 6 children worked extremely hard last year to encourage everyone to look after our world and our school. The children carried out weekly litter picks, emptied and checked recycling bins to ensure we were recycling the correct materials and made their own vegetable patch where they grew sweet corn and carrots amongst other things. The eco team carried out lunchtime checks to make sure lights were turned off to save electricity and the each week the numbers of lights left on decreased. A massive well done to all the children. We look forward to seeing the green flag flying on the school grounds soon.
