Year 3 pupils in 3SA have been interpreting music through art - creating a ‘visual experience’. After exploring colour and emotion in their previous art lesson, this week the pupils listened to a selection of music and used colour and line to describe the feeling it evoked. They worked very freely, considered their use of colour and line, and used mixed media – wax crayons, colour pencils and watercolour paint. They had great fun and we even managed a little boogie to Samba music at the end of the day.
Meanwhile, in music, Mr Miles worked with 3HA. They interpreted music using shape and line. Our Music/Art project will come together at the end of term when the pupils compose a piece music using colour and graphics.
