Design Technology – papier mâché

The fictional Professor Mont Blanc commissioned Year 3 to make her a teaching prop for her Geography lesson about mountains. She needed a model of a mountain which clearly showed its key features. It had to be big enough to be seen clearly by all pupils in the classroom, yet light and portable as it needed to be carried to her small car. The Professor required the model to be sturdy, as her students are boisterous and hands-on (she doesn't work at Bridge).

Year 3 pupils explored construction materials and designed their models while home-learning. They made, decorated, and evaluated their mountains at school.
