Mrs Smith and a number of pupils in Year 6 have been working extremely hard during lunchtimes, art lessons and at home to create some truly unique and personal art pieces. Each piece of art aims to express each pupil’s personality and can be seen in the gallery below.
The artwork is mixed-media on paper - pupils have used printing techniques, including screen printing and block printing using letter press, mixed with painting and drawing.
I’m sure you’ll agree that the artwork that the children has produced is exceptionally high quality and three pieces of artwork has been submitted for entry into a local art competition run by Pilgrims Hospices and The Beaney in Canterbury called ‘What Makes You Unique?’
We are hoping that our three entries will be exhibited in The Front Room at The Beaney in Canterbury from 21st March - 17th May 2020. The exhibition will be seen by 10,000 visitors and judged by a panel and a public vote. Good luck all those who entered.
