Year 2 were fortunate enough to be surrogate parents to 6 ducklings for the day, today! Every child had the opportunity to hold a duckling, sketch it after careful observation and use their new-found science knowledge to present the ‘Life Cycle of a Duck’, in words and pictures. Naturally, duck facts were high on the priority learning list, culminating in a quiz and finally a question and answer session with our resident ‘duck expert’, Bella!

‘Awe and Wonder’ abounded, especially when the ducklings went for a swim in their pool or tried to escape from their temporary, parent’s hands! It is with great sadness from us all here, adults included, that the ducklings have had to return to their real owners, however, our thanks go to Bella and her family for facilitating this wonderful learning experience.
