As part of our topic on the Great Fire of London the children were set the challenge of re-building London. The children had to design a model of the building they were going to create and used our trip to Canterbury as inspiration. The children then choose which construction material they wanted to use. The children learnt the best way to build a Lego house as well as using different skills to join different types of materials such as cardboard and plastic. Finally the children laid out their buildings ensuring there were gaps between the buildings to ensure London did not have a great fire again.
