This week, pupils in Year R created some crazy new animals. This art task was inspired by Axel Scheffler’s book, Flip Flap Jungle. Within the book, heads of animals are attached to the bodies of others and new names are created. For example, a leopard’s head attached to the body of an armadillo would create a leopadillo. Pupils worked from photographs of two animals and used HB pencils and colour pencils. They enjoyed creating new creatures and giving them a name.

Well done Year R.
