A few weeks ago, some children from Year 4 were lucky enough to go to Twickenham to play in a junior rugby tournament prior to an international match between the Barbarians and South Africa. Oliver (4ST) wrote:

“When we got on the bus, I was really tired because we had to wake up at 6am to go to Twickenham. It took us 3 hours, but it was worth it because we, somehow, astonishingly came 1st out of 10 teams and we won all of our matches. The only bad bit was that it was bitterly cold!
The amazing rugby field was enormous! The men’s match got cancelled but we got to watch the women’s match and it was the Barbarians v South Africa and the Barbarians got 60 points! South Africa only got a try with 5 points and didn’t convert the try.”

It sounds like the boys had a fantastic experience and one they will always remember especially as they received medals to keep. Thank you for sharing this with us.
