Applications

Applications must be submitted through the Kent Teach website. Standalone CVs cannot be accepted although they may be attached to the application should you wish to do so.

All applications should be received by midnight of the closing date. We are unable to accept applications submitted after this time.

Applications will then be considered with respect to the criteria outlined for the post in the Job Description, this outlines the skills, knowledge, qualifications and any additional attributes required for the role.

 

Shortlisting

Having applied for a post at the Bridge & Patrixbourne CEP School, you may be shortlisted and offered an interview. At this point, references will be requested.

In accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education, an online search will be undertaken of all shortlisted candidates to identify any safeguarding or suitability issues that can then be explored at interview.

 

The Interview Process

If you are selected for interview, we will give you as much notice as possible. All our interviews are conducted by a panel of two people or more. Depending on the post you have applied for, you may be asked to deliver a presentation or participate in a work-related task. Your interview letter will give you any relevant details.

After the interview you will be contacted as soon as possible to inform you whether or not you have been successful.

It is our practice to advise all applicants of the outcome of their application at all stages in the process.

 

Job Offer

We hope you are successful at interview. A job offer will be made to you giving you all the detail you will need about working with us.

We are required by law to ensure all staff have the right to work in the United Kingdom and if you are offered a post, we will ask you to bring proof of your ID such as a passport or birth certificate.

Please note that any offer of employment is subject to teh mandatory pre-employment checks:

  • Verification of identify and right to work in the UK
  • Verification of qualifications and professional status
  • Confirmation of completion of induction period (if applicable)
  • Receipt of at least 2 satisfactory references
  • Satisfactory 'Children's Barred List' check
  • Enhanced DBS certificate
  • Confirmation of the employee physical and mental fitness to carry out their work responsibilities

If the applicant has lived or worked outside of the UK, further appropriate checks will be made.

 

Feedback

If you are unsuccessful then feedback will be offered to all shortlisted candidates. We provide written feedback to candidates and an opportunity to discuss this should they wish.
