Here are some of the things we have been up to in Forest School this term:
We played games to learn the tree names, they made nature crowns, picked lots of tomatoes and vegetables and explored leaf rubbings. We read the book 'stick man' to inspire us to use sticks in lots of different ways. They used them as pens, turned them into paint brushes, bows and arrows, boats and wands. They made paint from charcoal and raspberries. We went on mushroom hunts, rescued stick man from ice and children helped to create the new knot area. We also explored conkers, or horse chestnuts and used them for craft, making people, dinosaurs and necklaces. Someone donated a dragonfly and stag beetle to us which we could look at close up . I am looking forward to another term of Forest School fun.
Please look at the separate post for the woodland trip.
