The Bridge Village Fireworks is one of the highlights of our school and community calendar — and our biggest fundraiser of the year! Organised by the PTFA (Parents, Teachers & Friends Association), this spectacular event brings together families, friends, and neighbours for an evening of sparkling skies, delicious food, and festive fun.
All funds raised go directly to support Bridge & Patrixbourne CEP School, helping to provide exciting new resources and experiences for our pupils. With school funding under increasing pressure, every ticket sold really does make a difference.
What’s On
- Gates open: 5pm
- Fireworks display: 6.30pm (approximate timing)
- Food & drink stalls
- Glow accessories and fun for all ages
Come wrapped up warm, bring your friends, and get ready for an unforgettable night!
How can local residents prepare their pets?
We know fireworks can be stressful for animals. If you live nearby:
- Keep pets indoors with curtains closed.
- Play gentle music or TV to mask the sounds.
- Make sure dogs are walked earlier in the evening before the display begins.
- If your pet is especially anxious, speak to your vet about calming options.
Your understanding and cooperation mean the world to us and help ensure the event is enjoyable for everyone — furry friends included!
How can I buy tickets?
Tickets are available in advance via the school office or PTFA website. Limited tickets may be available on the gate, but we recommend buying early as we usually sell out!
Is there parking?
Unfortunately, we do not have any dedicated parking for this event. Due to the popularity, of the event there are things that we can all do to reduce the number of cars travelling to, and parking in Bridge.
- Please consider car-sharing with friends and family to reduce the number of cars.
- Consider using public transport - Stagecoach buses 16, 17 and 89 serve the village and you can find bus timetables on the Stagecoach website.
- If you do drive, please park responsibly and respectfully - do not block residents driveways or park on footpaths.
Thank you for your support.
Can I bring my own fireworks or sparklers?
For everyone’s safety, personal fireworks and sparklers are not permitted. Our professional display team will ensure plenty of sparkle for all.
What happens if it rains?
The show will go on — please bring waterproofs and your best British spirit! Only severe weather would cause cancellation, and updates will be shared via the school website and social media.
Thank You for Your Support
Every year, this event raises vital funds that directly benefit our pupils — from classroom resources to enrichment experiences. Thank you for helping make the Bridge Village Fireworks such a brilliant celebration of community and school spirit.
