Yesterday, both classes visited The Pig for our second visit as part of the Adopt a School programme. We began by looking at spring herbs and comparing these to the autumnal vegetables we saw on our last visit. The children were able to smell and taste them which resulted in some expressive reactions! The children were then treated to making their own pizza with their chefs, They learnt how to shape the dough before choosing what toppings they wanted to add on. After a quick fire in the pizza oven, the children then tucked into their homemade pizzas. After this, the children went for a tour of the garden and learnt lots of interesting facts about the vegetables growing. We thank The Pig for their time and look forward to our third visit in the summer!
