Just before the half-term holidays, Year 5 finished making their ‘Lost Thing’ abstract sculptures. The pupil’s work was inspired by Shaun Tan’s picture book ‘The Lost Thing’, their own observational drawings of natural form objects and sculptures by the artist Grayson Perry. Like Grayson Perry, pupils made their sculptures from clay, adding lost and found objects. Pupils learnt about colour theory and painted their sculptures using complementary colours.

Pupils presented their observational drawings and sculpture designs beautifully in their sketchbooks.
