There has been great excitement on the playground this week with the arrival of the Brooksy Bus, the newest addition to our OPAL provision.
The bus has been generously donated by Mrs Brooks and her family and we are incredibly grateful for their kindness and support. As soon as it arrived, children began imagining all the ways it could be used and there has been plenty of enthusiastic discussion about what it might look like when the transformation is complete.
The Brooksy Bus will become a fantastic social space where children can relax, chat with friends, use their imaginations and enjoy creative play. It is exactly the sort of opportunity that makes OPAL such a valuable part of school life, providing children with engaging spaces that encourage cooperation, communication and fun.
While the bus is already proving popular, there is still plenty of work to do before it is ready for use. Plans are already underway to paint it and kit it out, helping to create a welcoming and exciting space for everyone to enjoy. As with any project of this size, it will take a few weeks to complete, but we know the finished result will be worth the wait.
The children are incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful addition to their play environment. We would like to say a huge thank you once again to Mrs Brooks and her family for their generosity. We cannot wait to share further updates as the Brooksy Bus begins its transformation!
