On Tuesday 16th June, six boys and two girls represented Bridge Primary School at a Mixed Dynamos Cricket Tournament held at Polo Farm.

The team made a fantastic start to the day in their opening match against Blean 1. It was a closely contested game, but some outstanding fielding and several incredible catches helped Bridge secure an impressive victory.

Confidence grew as the team moved into their second match against Blean 3, who would eventually finish fifth overall in the tournament. The batting was particularly impressive, with Harry, Thomas and Oliver consistently finding the boundary and helping the team build an excellent score. Their powerful hitting, combined with strong teamwork across the side, ensured another well-deserved win.

The victories meant Bridge progressed to the final, where they faced a determined opposition in a match full of excitement and tension. Every member of the team played their part, but special praise goes to the girls in the squad, whose composed batting and wonderful shots helped make the difference when it mattered most.

After another excellent all-round performance, Bridge emerged victorious and were crowned tournament champions.

Throughout the day, the pupils demonstrated superb teamwork, sportsmanship and determination. They represented the school brilliantly and should be extremely proud of their achievement.

Congratulations to the entire team on a fantastic performance and a well-deserved tournament victory.
