On Tuesday, some year 5s and year 6s went to Polo Farm to play in a cricket tournament. First, Bridge 2 played Sheldwich 2. We started off with fielding and managed to get some wickets. We won and then faced Canterbury Primary School. We played well, we got 5 wickets and won again.
Our third match was against Blean. It was a sad result for us but they were a good team. The funny thing is that we played Bridge 1. We lost but we were happy that we lost to them! We then played Blean 1 again and lost but this time we got a lot closer.
Our other team, Bridge 1, played Petham first and won the match with some excellent bowling. This was also the case in our second match against Blean. In the semi-final we played and won against our friends, Bridge 2, putting us in the final against Sheldwich. We won the toss, gained batting confidence and won by 6 runs, getting gold medals!
We would like to thank Mr Taylor, Mr Perfect and Mrs Langsdon for taking us.
