Today Year R were practising their observational drawing and painting skills. Working in small groups, the children painted pears. They carefully looked at the pears before sketching their shape with pencil. They were introduced to primary colours and mixed their own secondary and tertiary colours before carefully applying the paint. Pupils used a small brush (for the fiddly bits) and a large brush (for painting and flicking paint).

All Year R pupils will be given the opportunity to work from observation throughout term 5. Please have a look at the gallery below.
