A huge congratulations to our Year 3 children, who have won the first Aquila Times Tables Rock Stars competition of the year!
Children from schools across Aquila took part in the Top of the Rocks competition on Thursday, putting their multiplication skills to the test and earning points for their schools through Times Tables Rock Stars.
Each child could contribute up to 30 minutes of play towards their school’s score, making quick and accurate recall of multiplication facts all-important.
We are incredibly proud that Bridge School finished in first place. It is a fantastic achievement for our Year 3 children and a wonderful reward for their enthusiasm, determination and hard work.
The competition is designed to build pupils’ confidence with multiplication facts and raise the profile of times tables across Aquila schools, alongside some friendly competition.
Our Year 3 children will have the opportunity to defend their title when the next competition takes place on Thursday 10th December.
