Our team showed real resilience and determination in a fantastic day of cricket competition. We started against St Stephen’s, where a tough opening match resulted in a loss. However, the team responded brilliantly, bouncing back with a comfortable win against St Peter’s.
Confidence grew from there, with another strong victory in our third game followed by an impressive performance against Wincheap to continue the winning streak. Going into the final match against Canterbury Primary, everything was on the line. It was a tense and closely fought game, with us posting 45 runs. Thankfully, our bowling and fielding held firm, securing a well-earned win.
When the final results were announced, we were delighted to finish in first place and qualify for the regional finals later this year.
