On the day
We will be leaving school at approx 10.30am.
Please could children bring a packed lunch and a packed tea. No fizzy drinks and no chocolate (melty!)
In order to keep in touch with parents, you may wish to join our Telegram group (I use Telegram for school as it allows groups of people to link without sharing personal information such as phone numbers). The link will be emailed out - please do not share this.
Children's T-Shirts
The school will have the choir t-shirts (if ordered) and we will be giving these to the children the Monday before the concert.
If your child has not bought a t-shirt, please can they wear a white t-shirt (or a previous YV t-shirt if they have one). T-shirts can be bought on the day but the children will need to bring money.
Parent Tickets
The school will be sent the tickets via the AXS website and will send these out to parents. You may need to register on this website to access your tickets.
After the Concert
The concert finishes at 9pm but it takes a while to get out of the O2 so please be patient with us.
Ideally, we'd return all children to their parents at school but I realise that for some of you (especially those that don't live in the village), it's easier to grab and run from the O2. If you want to collect your child from the O2, then please let me know - we will be walking past the Emirates Sky Line and we have used this as a collection point previously.
Please note that if you're not there to collect your child, we won't be waiting for you. It wouldn't be fair on all the other families. (Not that that's happened before!)
We will arrive back at school at approximately 11.30pm.
The Next Day
I always get at least parent asking if their child can come in late the next day as it's a late night. Whilst I'm sympathetic, this isn't something that I can authorise. This is one of the reasons why we always go for the Thursday concert (as opposed to earlier in the week!) and to be honest, I think the children cope better with it than the adults do!
