We are delighted to invite parents and carers of our Reception children to our Physical Development Workshop.

Physical development is a vital part of the Early Years Foundation Stage and provides the foundations for children's learning, wellbeing and independence. During this workshop, we'll explain how we develop both gross motor skills, such as balance, coordination and core strength, and fine motor skills, which are essential for writing, drawing and everyday tasks.

You'll have the opportunity to explore some of the practical activities we use in school and discover simple, enjoyable ways to support your child's physical development at home. From developing pencil control to improving hand strength and coordination, small activities can make a big difference to children's confidence and readiness for learning.

There will also be time to ask questions and find out how physical development supports children's progress across the wider curriculum.

We look forward to welcoming you and working together to give every child the strongest possible start to their learning journey.
