12 children from Year 4 had a very exciting day yesterday (30th March) when they attended a Quicksticks (Primary Hockey) tournament. The children were in 2 teams of 6 and there were 25 teams from the Canterbury and Herne Bay districts taking part. Team 2 played very well and a special mention should go to Ivy who stepped in at the last minute and played brilliantly. The star player for that team was Ted for showing great skills and terrific teamwork.
Team 1 managed to play their way to the final and won! This was a huge team effort and the players all showed great skill and camaraderie. Thomas was awarded star player for displaying tremendous skills and tactical awareness.
Well done to all those children who took part - you should be very proud of yourselves.
Photos will be posted next term.
